Today, Social Media Week Jakarta 2017 announces additional keynote speakers for their conference sessions, that will be held from 13 to 15 September 2017: Matt Briant — Head of Social Media from Disney South East Asia; and Najwa Shihab — a journalist and host of Mata Najwa who is widely known by Indonesians.
As the Head of Social Media from Walt Disney Company in South East Asia, Matt Briant will share how Disney tell stories and interact with its fans digitally, with a topic, ‘Disney Reveal: The Forces of Storytelling, Fan base Building and Content Marketing,’ scheduled on the third day of the conference session, Friday, 15 September 2017.

In addition to Disney, Najwa Shihab, a widely known Indonesian public figure, is confirmed to be one of the keynote speakers for Social Media Week Conference session this year. In a series of main events scheduled from September 13 – 15, Najwa Shihab will share her experience as a journalist and host of Mata Najwa, as well as her views on current social and technological media, with the topic “Social Media and Technology’s Influence on Journalism and Public Media.”

Social Media Week Jakarta main event will be held at The Hall, 8th floor, Senayan City, divided into 3 stages that present various topics related to social media and technology — including various tips and case studies, which of course can add insight and be implemented by the participants.
On the main stage — the Conference stage — practitioners and activists of the social media and digital industry will learn directly from the experts, both from within and outside the country. Aside from the Conference stage, as part of Social Media Week Jakarta main chain of events, there will be numerous Community Meet-up sessions that will be filled with various talk show and sharing sessions, including Young On Top, Indovidgram, Social Media Strategic Club, Facebook, Detik.com, and many others. These sessions will share successful stories, digital strategies, and interesting tips that will add knowledge to the participants — both practitioners and social media and digital enthusiasts. Besides the 3 Main Stages, this year Social Media Week Jakarta introduces workshop classes that provide intensive training.
