(RTTNews) – Australia’s consumer confidence weakened during the week ended November 5, a weekly survey compiled by the ANZ bank and Roy Morgan Research showed Tuesday.
The consumer confidence index dropped to 112.6 from 113.4 in the preceding week.
The details were broadly negative, with four out of five sub-indices showing falls during the week.
The index measuring ‘time to buy a major household item’ dropped 0.5 percent to 132.1 and remained below its long term average of 133.8.
Inflation expectations fell 4.3 percent last week after remaining stable at 4.5 percent for the previous four weeks.
